English-Canadian YNES (pronounced Yin-es) was born in Coventry but has spent time living and working in Canada; with fans drawing lyrical comparisons from both the DIY post-punk scene in North America, to the more refined likes of Zuzu and Lauran Hibberd. From 80’s synth to the 90’s slack, YNES takes inspiration from a multitude of sources – all of which are staple in her eclectic yet honest sound.
25 year old Coventry artist Duke Keats influences range from pop psychedelic veterans like, Pink Floyd, Prince, Kate Bush and Jimi Hendrix to more contemporary sounds from the likes of Toro Y Moi, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and Portishead.
Making connections with fellow creatives both locally and internationally, Duke has supported acts such as Her’s, Kansas Smitty’s, Penelope Isles and Marker Starling, Dukes latest show was with highly acclaimed Japanese folk artist Ichiko Aoba and he has since released his score for the fashion brand Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY Autumn/Winter 2021 collection film ‘GLOOM’ directed by fashion photographer Thurstan Redding.
