On Friday 29 April, Crewdson & Cevanne will be celebrating the launch of their new EP, Rites for Crossing Water, with a live performance at the Coal Vaults, Coventry Canal Basin, as part of the Waterways Festival.

In 2021 Crewdson & Cevanne were commissioned by Ludic Rooms for Random String programme for the City of Culture Programme, to create a sound and video installation in response to Coventry Canal. Their piece, Rites for Crossing Water creates a 21st Century folk narrative of the waterway using field recordings and music. Crewdson & Cevanne collaborated with a Coventry-based animator, Jess Glover on the installation and her work features in an accompanying music video and publication, also being launched on Friday 29 April.
