Curtis Eller is a banjo player, songwriter and rock & roll singer. The twenty-year show business veteran began performing at the age of seven as a juggler and acrobat, but has since turned to the banjo because that’s where the money is. His band, Curtis Eller’s American Circus, has developed a devoted international following based on spellbinding stage performances that combine a dreamlike view of American history with silent film style, physical comedy, and explosive rock & roll energy. The iconoclastic troubadour has spent twenty years relentlessly touring the clubs, theatres and festivals of North America and Europe. Eller’s legendary solo shows once earned him the title of “New York’s angriest yodelling banjo player”. This September, Eller returns to Old Blighty for the first time in three years for a limited run of intimate, acoustic performances.
