FAIR PLAY, WE’RE TAKING IT OFFLINE!
With only 8% of people working in creative industries coming from working-class backgrounds – where does that leave the rest of us? Working day jobs and fitting the odd gig in here and there. Recording an album over the span of a few years because that’s when time allows. Learning on ‘cheap’ equipment because it does the job. To these, and to many other oddly specific examples, we say – fair play.
Come join our IRL issue #1 launch party – with live music, free merch, and first look at the magazine.
PWYC (suggested donation: one hours pay / the price of your usual coffee order). All funds raised through entry fees & magazine purchases will be split equally between the following charities:
Positive Youth Foundation: Supporting young people – particularly those underrepresented or with lived experience of injustice – to use arts and creativity to influence change in their lives.
Arts Uplift: Transforming the lives of vulnerable, isolated, and disadvantaged adults, using the power of creative arts, connection and self-expression.
Women for Refugee Women: Supporting a network of over 760 refugee and asylum-seeking women to develop their confidence and skills, through creative and educational activities.
