R L (MONO) ART NOISE SOUND SILENCE MOTION
An evening of Sound/Movement Art Installations at the Pod.
Our good friends at The Pod (1A Lamb street, Coventry) present “R L Mono,” an evening of; Art, noise, sound, silence & motion. The night will feature an art installation from artist Emilia Moniszko, which will involve her collaborating with musicians in a live musical improvisation encompassing a range of instruments including the resonant metallic sounds of the Bow Chime (Arran Poole) as well as the more familiar sounds of Piano and Guitar. Doors will be open from 6pm on the 23rd April and the evening will also include a sound art work derived from audio that was recorded on Cormac Faulkner’s “Releasing the Sonic Potential” workshops, which focused on themes of industry and the outdoors. The Schedule commences at 6.15pm with Cormac Faulkner’s “Releasing the Sonic Potential” and leads into the Moniszko-Collective Improvisation at 6.45pm. Emilia’s solo work completes the line-up from 7.15pm – 7.45pm. “R L Mono” features the Pod’s first dedicated sound art Installation and is an opportunity to appreciate the transformative effects that artists and musicians can bring to a building. Visitors are advised that the installation will be filmed as a part of overall artwork.
