‘Sea of Sounds’ – Delia Derbyshire Music Workshops
FREE SESSIONS for 10 – 15 year olds – at The Tin Community Space
Starts Monday 13th March 2017 – 5pm*

Inspired by Delia Derbyshire’s composition ‘the sea’, in which she uses a mixture of electronic/taped sounds to create the ‘sea’ of sounds, groups of children ages 10-15 years will have the opportunity to create a library of sounds. Recorded sounds from lessons – chords, clusters of sounds, chimes, clangs, beats, rumbling bass, orchestral strings, brass, wind, percussion – will be looped and edited, filter effected and altered. The project will culminate with a live realisation at Coventry’s ‘New’ Cathedral on 5th May 2017, what would have been Delia’s 80th birthday.

For more information and to enroll onto the workshops please email – sarah@thetinmusicandarts.org.uk
