Red Dirt Skinners + Chris the Bard and The Merry Band + Paul Handyside

Friday 11 July 2014 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
£6 adv / £8 door

Red Dirt Skinners’ come to The Tin at the Coal Vaults on the back of reams of positive press, country and blues awards nominations and a whole lot of buzz – come and see what all the fuss is about this July.

Seen early on in their career as a duo by Lisa-Marie Presley, who was extremely impressed by their harmonies, the couple have also worked with Paulo Nutini, Stan Webb’s Chicken Shack, Tommy Castro, and Bad Manners and have shared a stage with many others on the Blues and Country circuits.Rarely will you see two people more comfortable on stage than the Skinners. Their live shows have been described (by R2 magazine) as “House-wreckingly good!”, and also as “refreshingly different” and “beyond perfection”. Rob and Sarah will leave the audience in no doubt as to why there is such a buzz about them. With sublime vocal harmonies, trademark sax solos, finger picked or insanely fast strummed guitar, and (if the venue permits) live drums, Red Dirt Skinners shows are fun and interactive.

With lyrics that make you cry one minute and have you laughing the next, Rob and Sarah are also five time finalists in the UK Songwriting contest.
