Paul Millns returns to the UK for several solo gigs following his European tour.
Schooled in the 60’s blues and soul scene, Paul played piano for the likes of Alexis Korner and Eric Burdon, before embarking on his own songwriting career and later musical associations with folk legends Ralph McTell and Bert Jansch. Singer, pianist and composer, he is one of those rare breed of musical poets, often compared to Joe Cocker, Tom Waits or Randy Newman.
As a singer and songwriter Paul has found European success, and had songs covered by singers like Elkie Brooks and Bonnie Tyler.
Besides his well-crafted arrangements, his musical dexterity and the tone of his rough and smoky voice, Paul impresses and convinces audiences with intelligent and sensitive lyrics. His writing is based on daily observations of life, shrewd reflections on political and social themes, and profound visions on the values of life.
“On the road” for over 30 years, he amazes intimate audiences as well as big music halls with powerfully committed performances and typical British sense of humour.
“Superb singer / songwriter / pianist” TIME OUT
“If there was any justice in the musical world, he would be filling the biggest halls in the land.’ THE SCOTSMAN
