Saturday 4th March 2017 see the nominees for ‘Best Duo’ and ‘Best Original Track’ at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2016, Marry Waterson & David A. Jaycock.

So encouraged, in 2011 came the pair’s hugely acclaimed debut The Days That Shaped Me (“the potential to be a lifelong companion. It’s that good.” 5/5 Independent On Sunday). Nominated for a BBC Folk Award, the record – born out circumstance rather than design, and part homage to mother Lal – was full of beautiful, evocative, mysterious songs that included collaborations with Kathryn Williams, James Yorkston and Eliza.

Marry Waterson is a singer best known for her rich, striking vocal contributions to numerous recordings and live performances by various members of the Waterson family, she is also a member of Blue Murder, an occasional English Folk ‘Supergroup’.

In January 2010 Marry performed at the Sydney Opera House in a stellar line-up of over 20 rock and folk icons, actors, punk rockers and more under the musical direction of Hal Willner’s ‘Rogues Gallery’.
