Berlin psych-pop band Fenster released their third album Emocean in September via Morr Music, the soundtrack to an adventure sci-fi film created by and starring the band. After a short December tour (Germany, Switzerland, Belgium), the band will be back on the road in February 2016. Fenster are performing their cine-concert (film screening with live score) at The Tin.
Fenster’s Emocean is the soundtrack to an adventure sci-fi film created by and starring the band. The music is a swirling cosmos of richly varied post-psychedelia, transcending the boundaries of reality and traditional pop-records to join the ranks of other genre bending Music Films like Daft Punk’s “Interstella 5555” or Prince Rama’s “Never Forever”.
The film starts out as a documentary about the band struggling to finish their third record and they accidentally get transported into an alternate dimension in which they are deprived of feelings. In the surreal landscape of this foreign dimension, nothing is what it seems.
“If transatlantic dream-pop spiked with a fat tab of acidy post-psychedelia is your cup of tea, then take the trip to see Fenster’s first feature film Emocean. The band’s debut is a hallucinatory sci-fi adventure that’s primed to twist your melon.” Ex- Berliner – DE
Batsch are an indie pop quartet based in Coventry, England. Their smart, groove-oriented dance-pop takes nods from classic art rock like Talking Heads as well as more modern contemporaries like Field Music and Dutch Uncles.
