Dan Owen + support

It started with a few local pub gigs, then more pubs further away from town. And then he made a big step. He was playing the Newark Blues festival in the summer and a fan filmed it. It went viral and has since been watched by half a million people. Up and up it went as blues fans around the world told one another. Their word-of-mouth recommendation made Dan one of the most sought-after young blues players in the world. And then the phone started ringing. And it carried on and it carried on: ‘It’s strange. I was gigging in the pubs, then the agents told me they didn’t want me to gig in the pubs anymore. They wanted me to gig at proper venues, ticketed venues. I just love playing, I don’t care where it is’.

Dan is releasing his first EP in the Spring this year and he will be on the road for the next 60 years. He’s that sort of guy. A rare find, catch him on his way up.
