Ben Parker & Kate Aumonier are Chains. Ben, previously of folk duo Ben & Jason, met Kate when the two were put together to write songs for other artists. Kate, who was discovered by legendary producer Glyn Johns (Rolling Stones, Led Zepellin, The Who), was just 18 when she was asked to sing alongside Linda Rondstadt & Emmy Lou-Harris for their ‘Tuscon Sessions’ album. A moment that kick-started her career as a singer.
The two soon began singing together and within a couple of years had written 3 albums worth of material and played a considerable number of sell-out shows across the UK. Often likened to The Civil Wars, the pair’s flawless harmonies have audiences dumbstruck wherever they play.
The duo’s forthcoming debut album ‘Chains’ will be released in 2014.
