Calton Kelly : Paradise EP Launch w/ Michael Vickers & Behind The Settee
Friday 16 March 2018 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
£4 Adv / £5 OTD
Electropop with a classical, almost operatic flair is the best way to describe singer-songwriter Calton Kelly. His voice swoops, glides and soars as if each note is like an eagle riding a current of air high in an orchestral mountain range.
Kelly cites artists such as David Bowie, Lana Del Rey, Sia and Kate Bush as influences and you can hear that is his voice and music – strands of artistic expression intertwining their way in between pop hooks and emotive lyrics to give the listener a sense of hearing something familiar in tone yet new and a bit daring.
With support from Michael Vickers boasting a combination of indie, rock and folk and a talent for musical storytelling. His songs have been referred to as clever, beautiful, vivacious, unique and spellbinding.
As well as Behind the Settee, an original three-piece band from Rugby making dreamy and captivating music.
