As the world capital for Peace and Reconciliation, Coventry hosts a two week long Peace Festival.
This year, we’re very happy to be involved in putting on Tamikrest of the 5th November. This show is particularly fitting, as Tamikrest hail from Kidal in Mali, a town which became one of the strategic strongholds of radical Islamists.
The peace-loving young Tuaregs of Tamikrest (the name of the group means ‘gathering’) regret this all the more, since their songs have always expressed the sufferings of their people and their struggle for recognition of their identity.
Book in advance, as this show is likely to sell out.
